Target Match Play Tournament

This event will be a Target Match Play Tournament consisting of group match play in groups of 4 players (and 3 players as well if the total number of players is not divisible by 4). Maximum of 32 players are allowed in the tournament. Cost to enter: $10.

The scoring system used will be 5-3-2-1. For 4-player groups, first place gets 5 points, second place gets 3 points, third place gets 2 points, and last place gets 1 point. For 3-player groups, first place gets 5 points, second place gets 3 points, and last place gets 1 point. The MatchPlay software will handle the scoring for each player.

For the first round, players will be randomly assigned to groups and in subsequent rounds, players will be playing other players with the same or similar point totals. Rounds will continue to be played until at least 4 players reach the target score of 17. This tournament will have no finals.

Any extra balls are to be plunged. Players are allowed to set up a lane skill shot if they want to before plunging their ball. Once the ball is plunged, the player is not allowed to flip and must let the ball drain on its own. Nudging is not allowed on the extra ball at all. Inadvertently playing an extra ball beyond plunging for a skill shot is an automatic DQ in the game (coming in last).

Players are responsible to check that it is their turn before they play their ball. Any player who plays out of turn will be disqualified from that game and take an automatic last in the game.

Top 4 players get a medal and the top 4-8 players (depending on the number of players participating) get a cash prize as well.
