This tournament will be a Max Match Play format consisting of head-to-head match play where each player plays every other player exactly once (round robin) or exactly twice (double round robin) (depending on the number of players present) in the tournament. For round robin, the number of matches is one less than the number of players playing in the tournament and for double round robin, the number of matches is two less than the number of players in the tournament. Maximum of 16 players are allowed in the tournament. Cost to enter: $10.

The winner of each match gets one point. The MatchPlay software will handle the scoring for each player.

After a player finishes their match, they will be assigned another player to play against. After all matches by all players have been completed, the tournament will be over. This tournament will have no final.

For the first round, players will be randomly paired up. For subsequent rounds, a player will be paired to a player they haven’t faced yet (round robin) or they haven’t faced more than once (double round robin) yet in the tournament.

Any extra balls are to be plunged. Players are allowed to set up a lane skill shot if they want to before plunging their ball. Once the ball is plunged, the player is not allowed to flip and must let the ball drain on its own. Nudging is not allowed on the extra ball at all. Inadvertently playing an extra ball beyond plunging for a skill shot is an automatic DQ in the game (coming in last).

Players are responsible to check that it is their turn before they play their ball. Any player who plays out of turn will be disqualified from that game and take an automatic last in the game.

Any ties will be broken by the software using the numbers in the right hand column of the standings. In the event of exact ties among the top players or players that are tied for the lowest position to get an award, those players will play one tiebreaker game from among the games used in the tournament to break the tie.

Top 4 players get a medal and the top 4-8 players (depending on the number of players participating) get a cash prize as well.
